Hi dhivya,
Thank for your compliments! I'm glad you find our forum useful.
The
Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland
(currently
on sale
) would be a good choice. You're not traveling great distances in the Bernese Oberland, but you do multiple trips every day and most of it is mountain transportation and relatively costly. So you definitely need a pass. An alternative would be the
Swiss Card
. Those are the two options to look into.
Lauterbrunnen to Wengen is by train, there is no other means of transport.
There are 3 routes from Wengen to Grindelwald:
- Train via Lauterbrunnen, Zweilütschinen
- Train via Kleine Scheidegg
- Gondola via Männlichen to Grindelwald Grund, train to Grindelwald.
The first option is the cheapest. Unless you use a free travel day of the Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland, then it would all be free. All prices are listed on the
Jungfraubahnen website
.
Have fun!

Thanks for your help, Arno
For Wengen to Grindelwald trip, Definitely my vote is for train via Lauterbrunnen, Zweilütschinen
As per your advice, I decided to buy
Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland 2 in 1 offer.
Once again Thanks Arno for your help to fine tune my plan.
But still I have doubts to be cleared
1
. Are our names & 7 travel dates printed on the ticket??? Can it be like flexi pass??? How to activate my pass?? Is there any closing date for this offer?
2
. Could you help? which days of this itinerary are opt for
free travel days
and which are
discount days
???
3
. Is it worth to use for Fussen to Lauterbrunnen trip on
Day 1
as free day??? Shall I break this trip at Bern???
I think
Day 6
should be a free day!!!
What about
Day 2
or else
Day 4
???
I'm in a fix. I am totally confused about how to use it cost effectively.
What is your opinion regarding swiss transfer card.???
4
. If I buy this offer, In how many days, I will get the passes in hand???. I'm from South India.
5
. Added to all, I'm supposed to leave India on 9th september 2011 for Europe trip, Mean while I should possess them with me
Again thanks
Looking for your response

You're welcome dhivyak!
The offer is valid until October 31. All details are
here
. All details on the pass, including estimated delivery dates, purchase options, etc, are
here
.
Only the first travel day will be printed on the pass. The pass has fields to fill out the dates of the free travel days. You can use them as you like (consecutive or non-consecutive).
Here's information
about how to travel most economical. It helps on deciding whether or not to take a free travel day.
