Hello
I intend to visit Switzerland for 3.5 days with my family (wife and 16-year old son). Our plan is as below -
(a) We would be arriving in ZURICH on 17-Jun-2012 at 1.00 pm and are scheduled to depart from Zurich on 21-Jun-2012 at 7.00 am.
(b) Hence, we have half-day of 17-Jun and 3 full days (18-20 Jun) in Zurich.
(c) We have already booked our hotel in Zurich for the 3.5 days
(d) Hence, wherever we go, we need to come back to Zurich Hotel at night.
We would like to visit the following places in order of preference (as much as possible duirng the 3.5 days) -
(1) Zurich
(2) Rhine Falls
(3) Lucerne
(4) Mt Titlis
(5) Jungfranjoch
(6) Interlaaken
I have the following questions and need help -
(a) Can someone help to advise how we should plan our visits to cover as much as possible?
(b) Can we take Daily Tours from Zurich to 1 or more of the above places and return to Zurich at night?
(c) If we buy SWISS PASS, then would most - if not all - vists be covered?
Thanks
Kubalay

Hi Kubalay,
You can best take a look at
this map
to see where everything is located; then use the
timetable
to check traveling times. I would do something like this:
17th: Zurich
18th: Lucerne and Titlis
19th: Interlaken and Jungfraujoch
20th: Rhine Falls
Of course the days are exchangeable. The Rhine Falls can be done on a cloudy/rainy day for example. Titlis and Jungfraujoch require clear weather.
A 3-day
Swiss Saver Flexi Pass
would be the cheapest option for the adults. A 4-day
Swiss Saver Pass
is only a bit more expensive though, so you may want to pick that one in order to include the 17th as well (to have free entrance to many museums, discounted urban transportation). A 4-day
Swiss Youth Pass
would be best for your son. Be sure to check
these promo codes
as well!
Downloadable network maps can be found on the pages I linked to. They show exactly what's covered.
Have fun!
