Hi again!
I am ready to buy the GoldenPass for our trip in Switzerland. We will be traveling from Lauterbrunnen to Montreux. Do we only need seat reservations from Zweisimmen to Montreux or from Interlaken Ost to Montreux? Also, we will be traveling in the morning - should we sit on the right or left side of the train?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Mary. If you want to travel the leg Interlaken - Zweisimmen in a Golden Pass train as well, you should make seat reservations. This would be the easiest solution, as the Golden Pass train from Interlaken to Zweisimmen connects to the Golden Pass train leaving at Zweisimmen for Montreux. The timetable shows whether a regular train or a Golden Pass train is involved.
I remember being seated at the left side of the train during the leg Zweisimmen-Montreux, and this side offered great views over lake Geneva during the descend to Montreux. However, I'm not sure if the carriages ride as displayed at the Golden Pass website; they may be connected to the train in reverse order as well. I think you should contact Golden Pass to inquire about this, if it's important to you.
