    Camping around Lake Como, Lake Lugano or Lake Maggiore is now possible without bringing your own gear. You can rent it and collect it at any location in the area, e.g. a train station. You can stay at any campsite and even have the gear delivered there. Apart from tents, you can rent backpacks, water bottles, baby beds, picnic blankets and more.

    This sounds like an awesome idea. Can anyone recommend favorite camping sites in the Ticino region (best views, facilities, etc.)? I would be travelling by rental car.

    Thanks New Moderator. Either I am doing something completely clueless, or the the search criteria engine is broken, but no specific recommendations pop up for me. Please help me to access specific camp sites which qualify for the discount in the Southern Lake Region. Thank You.

    If you choose the region of Ticino in the link posted by Sara and Arno you should be able to find our selection. Did you maybe forget to hit the blue “show results” button at the bottom?!

    Let us know if it continues without displaying results.

    Note that the discount announced in this post is meant for hiring camping gear, not for a stay at particular campsites. You can rent the discounted gear and then choose any campsite you like. I hope this clarifies things!
