To travel with swiss pass, do we need to make reservation in advance, can we travel with luggage? we have booked hotels in Lucerne berne Chamonix and Zurich. with the swiss pass can we travel to Chamonix? we plan to travel from Lucerne to Geneva to Chamonix? from which of the above locations we can plan a trip in bernina express?

    Hi sureshk,

Most Swiss trains don’t need to be booked in advance, please see here for details. You can take along luggage, although with a large group like yours it could be convenient to use the luggage transport services.

The Swiss Travel Pass includes traveling from Martigny to Chamonix for free. You can download the map for details.

The Bernina Express is not near your planned route, so it’s not a suitable day trip. Theoretically you could do it from Lucerne, but it would be a very long day. The Golden Pass line makes more sense. More scenic trains can be found here.
