    Hi Guys,

A very last minute first time trip to Switzerland this weekend. ๐Ÿ™‚

After going through this forum I decided on keeping Lucerne as my base. So the Iteneary looks like foll:

14th May โ€“ Arrive Zurich at 6 PM and travel to Lucerne ASAP

15th May โ€“ Day trip 1 as Lucerne as base

16th May โ€“ Day trip 2 and travel back to Zurich late evening

17th May โ€“ Early morning flight from Zurich Airport

I know itโ€™s a very short trip but in my current budget and schedule I couldnt get it any better.

    I need recommendations on:

1 โ€“ Which rail pass to buy

2- What should I do for Day trip 1 and 2.

Thanks a lot for your help!

    Hi Shantanu.

    Looks like a nice weekend.

This website has lots of information about Luzern.

One idea if you like to hike, or just ride the lakeboats, is described toward the end of this thread:

    Be a tourist-

see the Lion of Luzern, and the nearby the Bourbaki Panorama whether or not you are fan of European history.

    Hi Shantanu,

I suggest you look into the Tell Pass or the Swiss Half Fare Card. Which one is best, ultimately depends on your exact trips in and from Lucerne, but either of these will suit your needs.

    Enjoy your weekend in Switzerland!
