Thanks Arno,
I placed the order yesterday and I received the e-ticket to my mail address today. Thanks
ArnoModerator15484 posts2 September 2015 at 11:29:00 #845240Hi Manipand,
The promotion we’re discussing here is just for Europe. But you’re lucky: the Indian retailer just launched a new promotion! You will get an extra day of traveling with a 4-day pass and two extra days with an 8-day pass. Please see http://www.raileurope.co.in/ pass/swiss-pass. I will post about this offer later today.

Yes, you can order the discounted passes and a motorway vignette, and have it shipped to Belgium. You can find the vignette here: http://www.swisstravelsystem. co.uk/ en/products/ motorwaysticker.

You saved me 160 euro.
Strange thing is that our daughter pays more for the youth pass then we for the adult pass.
We stay at landal walensee for a week in the beginning of october.
ArnoModerator15484 posts6 September 2015 at 16:50:51 #845244You’re welcome! Yes, strangely the Youth Pass is not discounted. But she can use an adult pass too.
Enjoy your stay on the Walensee, it’s beautiful area!

I am currently working in UK. I am having work visa for UK. But I am originally from India with Indian passport. I will be travelling to Swiss on 15th Oct 2015 for 4 days. I want to buy this pass. Is this discount is applicable to me ?
Regards,
Umesh
ArnoModerator15484 posts18 September 2015 at 14:27:20 #845248Hi Umesh,
Anyone with a postal address in the UK, or Europe, can take advantage of this discount.
Have a good trip!
Removed userParticipant72625 posts3 October 2015 at 19:36:17 #845249Do you have to carry any sort of proof of residency document while travelling to be benefit from this 20% offer? I worked in London but holding a non-EU passport.
ArnoModerator15484 posts4 October 2015 at 7:04:46 #845250Hi homemademoni,
That won’t be a problem. You need to carry a passport while traveling, but all that matters is that the passport number is the same as the one filled out on the Swiss Travel Pass. They don’t care about where you’re from, as long as it’s not Switzerland or Liechtenstein. When you buy the pass, you should fill out a billing address in the UK, or in Europe. So you can fill out your address in London. Then pick the ‘Online Ticket’ delivery option so you can print your pass at home. Please see http://www.swisstravelsystem. co.uk/ en/node/66 for all the details.
Enjoy your trip!

Many thanks for this Post !
I am traveling to Switzerland in November last week with my wife and Stayed in Zurich 4 days (29th Nov to 3rd Dec). Before that I am staying 3 days in Paris. Traveling Paris to Zurich by TGV.
I am looking for Swiss Travel Pass. I need 4 days pass because I am leaving Zurich on 3rd Dec early morning.
I have checked on http://www.raileurope.co.in (for Indian) that there is 1 extra day with 4 day pass but travel allowed till 30th Nov 2015.
But If I buy from http://www.swisstravelsystem. co.uk/?currency=GBP with 20% discount and offer valid till 31st December 2015. I have checked there is option for billing and courier to India with charges of 30 CHF. Also here discount is available on 4 days pass.
Please guide me from where should I buy and what would be best for me ?
ArnoModerator15484 posts22 October 2015 at 7:14:22 #845254Hi ratiksinghal,
The promotion discussed here is for residents from Europe only. They don’t accept orders from anywhere else (that applies to this promo only, not to other products). The below pages show retailers and promotions that are relevant to you:
In your case you can best consider http://www.raileurope.co.in/p ass/swiss-travel-pass-82. That’s your local retailer in India, which offers free shipping, good prices, and payment in your own currency. Indeed, do not order the pass with the extra day included, as that’s not valid for your travel dates.
Removed userParticipant72625 posts23 October 2015 at 9:36:17 #845255Hi Arno,
Thanks !
But Still If I order from UK site and Deliver it to India address, It cost to me 430 CHF. On http://www.raileurope.co.in/p ass/swiss-travel-pass-82 site, there is no discount for me and cost to me around 470 CHF. and If I buy from Switzerland with no Discount, It cost to me 500 CHF. There is no benefit for me to go with 1 extra day as a discount. 4 Days Pass with 20% discount is really a good option.
So I think either buy from UK site or buy from Switzerland. What You Suggest ?
Also want to ask If I choose an Online printing option because I have read all other post that there is no difference between country wise Pass.
is there any chance to come any offer in coming days ?
ArnoModerator15484 posts23 October 2015 at 18:38:45 #845256Hi ratiksinghal,
I recommend the Indian site. It’s a very good price. As you said, you will save about CHF 30 if you buy there. Possibly a bit more as you can pay in your own currency so there are no exchange rate costs or bank fees.
The UK site is not an option as they will most probably cancel your order, because it’s targeted to travelers from Europe only (see my previous post). It has already happened to others, but of course you can give it a try.
Buying in Switzerland is the most expensive and time consuming option. But if you don’t mind the regular price, then you might as well buy from the official Swiss Railways site at http://www.swissrailways.com/ en. It’s not cheaper, but you can print your pass at home, so you save time as you can board the train directly after arrival.
I don’t expect new promotions the coming days, but if there are any we’ll post about it in the forum.
Does this help you out?
