    hi,

i’m reaching zurich on 7th june with my flight landing at 9am.

i will be reaching my hotel say by 10:30-11 from teh airport.

I wanted to know:1. is it recommended to go to mt. titlis on this day? wat time does the train leave and by when shall i reach the mountain?2. If mt. titlis is not possible on 7th june, can I go to rhine falls day trip on 7th june? Who can organize this trip for my family, are there any trip organisers? Or can I travel to the falls myself by cab/train? I would prefer to leave for the rhine falls by 12 noon.

    thank you. Ankur

    Welcome to MySwissAlps, Ankur.

The trip from Zurich to the top of the Titlis takes about 2h40. Trains leave frequently. Please see our Titlis page and the timetable to find details; enter “Kleintitlis” as your destination in the timetable. You could reach Titlis by the afternoon, but in my opinion it would be too long of a journey right after a flight arrival. Moreover, it depends on weather circumstances whether the trip is worth it. Skies tend to be clearer in the morning than in the afternoon, although that’s just an average of course. You don’t have to book anything in advance, so you could check weather forecasts after your arrival in Zurich and then decide if you’re giving it a try.

I’d personally prefer the Rhine Falls on such an arrival day. It doesn’t take as much traveling time as the Titlis and is less weather dependent. You can easily get there yourself; our Rhine Falls page explains how. Another alternative is to just check in in your hotel and explore Zurich; the old town center is certainly attractive.
