    Hi,

    We will be in Switzerland for 4 days end of August with 6 adults and 2 kids, please suggest what is the best option for us – 3 days Swiss Flexi pass or a 4 day Swiss pass or Half Card? We will be staying in a hotel in Wengen.

    Day 1 – Travel Day from Paris ->Bern -> Interlaken-> Lauterbrunnen-> Wengen

    Day 2 – To Jungfrau

    Day 3 – Open to ideas please suggest?

    Day 4 – To Lucerne -> Basel ->To Barcelona

    Can we buy the Swiss Flexi pass for 3 days and on Day 2 to Jungfrau use it as a Half Card to get 50% discount?

    Thanks

    Sushma

    Hi Sushma,

    Yes, the 3-day Swiss Saver Flexi Pass would be a good option, especially if you plan to do a longer trip on your day 3. Please note that you cannot use the current promotion as it requires traveling from September 1. But there are other discounts you may qualify for. Please check the map linked from the Swiss Flexi Pass page: the Jungfrau is 25% off, the rest is 50% off. The Swiss Half Fare Card grants a 50% discount. You may want to do the math to see which option is cheaper in total.

    We have listed day trip ideas and hiking suggestions.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    One specific question – if we get the 3 day swiss flexi pass for our 4 day trip, can we use it as a half fare card on the specific one day we are going to Jungfrau (and use it as a regular pass on the other three days) and if so, would that give us a 50% percent discount for Jungfrau given that the half fare card gives a 50% discount for Jungfrau while the pass gives only a 25% percent discount?

    Thanks

    Sushma

    Hi Sushma,

    The Swiss Flexi Pass is not a Swiss Half Fare Card, although it works in a similar way on the days between the free travel days. The Swiss Flexi Pass grants a 25% discounts on the upper section of the Jungfrau trip (from Wengen up), not 50%. The map shows the details.
