    Hi,

i am going to Switzerland with my 8 year old for 8 days.

Flying to and from Zurich and spending 7 nights in Lauterbrunnen.

i read that the Jungfrau pass is great and am considering that.

Now I found that the Bernese Oberland pass 8 days may prove better value and mean I can travel further afield too.

i am looking for recommendations and advice really please on what anyone thinks or any other options.

    Thanks

    Hi Jimmydee,

As you note, it really depends on where you want to travel during your stay in Lauterbrunnen. It is best to plan out your itinerary first before deciding on a pass. Maybe all you need is the Jungfrau Travel Pass, but the Regional Pass – Bernese Oberland is a good option as well. You can also look at the Swiss Travel Pass (but it may no be needed if you don’t plan on long trips from Lauterbrunnen).

Be sure to click on the Where it is Valid tab for each pass linked above – it will show you a PDF map

Once you have the itinerary, be sure to read our section on how to choose the best rail pass as well.
