    Hi lapgates, welcome to MySwissAlps!

Sure, this will work, if it meets your requirements and preferences. Zurich isn’t close to the Alps, so I’d personally prefer to spend a bit less time there and a couple of more days in Grindelwald instead, but as mentioned: it all depends on what you prefer. Your plans for day 1 and day 2 in Zurich are doable I think. This page may provide some further tips for day trips within and from Zurich.

    Hi lapgates,

To be honest I’m not quite sure what you mean with your previous posts. You’ve written down long lists of plans that all seem to be for one day each. If that’s what you’re aiming at, it’s really not realistic, especially for Lucerne, Interlaken and Grindelwald (Zermatt and Bern look better). You could pick one or two of such trips for one day, that’s about it. I suggest you study our planning tips (http://www.myswissalps .com/plantrip/doityour self) and the timetable (http://www.myswissalps .com/timetable) to get a feel of what is and isn’t doable in one day.

In case you’re looking for advise on which trips to choose out of your lists: those are very personal decisions. You could start off by studying our attraction and hiking pages, to find out which trips and hikes out of your list appeal to you most: http://www.myswissalps.com/ activities. Additionally, searching the forum using the search box in the upper right corner will allow you to read other visitors’ experiences.
