The trains are most poplar in summer (June to September) which is when you are traveling.

I would make the reservations for the Bernina Express and Glacier Express as soon as possible.

The trains can be sold out and you don’t want to be disappointed.

    Hi rajikadinesh,

That’s correct, the Swiss Travel Pass covers the Bernina Express ride but not the seat reservation. So you have to pay for that separately. Please refer to myswissalps.com/bernin aexpress/tickets for the appropriate reservation links.

If you aren’t hiking, then regular shoes/sneakers should be fine. It can get quite chilly up at the top so be aware of that.

You can best dress in multiple thinner layers as explained on our weather page.

    Hi Rajikadinesh,

Lucas really said it all actually. You don’t need anything special unless you are planning hiking or other activities in the snow. For long hikes seamless socks are great, but that’s irrelevant for regular sightseeing. Just wear two pairs if you think that’s more comfortable.

    Hi Rajikadinesh,

If you want gloves any kind is fine. Again, nothing special required for general sightseeing.

Personally I prefer Gornergrat, but you can decide for yourself after going through the details here:

Please see travelerswifi.com for delivery and collection options. You can order online and collect it from the Pickpoint post office at the station in Basel. Or you can have it shipped to your hotel in Luzern, which is what I would do as it takes less time.

You can read about how to get to Jungfraujoch here.

From Luzern you must travel by train to Interlaken and then on to Grindelwald. You can go up from Grindelwald and return via Wengen for a ’round-trip’ experience – so you see as much as possible.
