also we have planned to have a ride on glacier express from st moritz to zermatt on 05/06/2017. kindly tell me which is the latest date to get reservation done.
kindly guide according to tourist rush during this period on these scenic rides
Removed userParticipant72625 posts9 May 2017 at 13:20:07 #860805The trains are most poplar in summer (June to September) which is when you are traveling.
I would make the reservations for the Bernina Express and Glacier Express as soon as possible.
The trains can be sold out and you don’t want to be disappointed.

we have finalized to enjoy complete bernina express and glacier express ride
we would be travelling on 4th june from lugano to st. moritz on bernina
we would be having stp
whether we are suppose to pay 14chf as reservation charges per person for bernina bus and train separately
AnnikaModerator7124 posts14 May 2017 at 12:34:45 #860810Hi rajikadinesh,
That’s correct, the Swiss Travel Pass covers the Bernina Express ride but not the seat reservation. So you have to pay for that separately. Please refer to myswissalps.com/bernin aexpress/tickets for the appropriate reservation links.

what kindly of footwear is advisable for us
we have.no plans plans for hiking
Removed userParticipant72625 posts16 May 2017 at 7:02:49 #860812If you aren’t hiking, then regular shoes/sneakers should be fine. It can get quite chilly up at the top so be aware of that.

got it
my query was more socks and shoe related.
Is there any specific sole for footwear that is preferred
also suggest us any specific socks
ArnoModerator15484 posts17 May 2017 at 6:47:52 #860816Hi Rajikadinesh,
Lucas really said it all actually. You don’t need anything special unless you are planning hiking or other activities in the snow. For long hikes seamless socks are great, but that’s irrelevant for regular sightseeing. Just wear two pairs if you think that’s more comfortable.

are suppose to have hand gloves. if yes kindly specify variety for same
which one is better peak , klein matterhorn or gornergat
ArnoModerator15484 posts20 May 2017 at 15:35:26 #860818Hi Rajikadinesh,
If you want gloves any kind is fine. Again, nothing special required for general sightseeing.
Personally I prefer Gornergrat, but you can decide for yourself after going through the details here:

given a choice where you will go
can we buy travellers wifi once we reach Basel train station or from any place in luzern
ArnoModerator15484 posts21 May 2017 at 5:51:53 #860820Please see travelerswifi.com for delivery and collection options. You can order online and collect it from the Pickpoint post office at the station in Basel. Or you can have it shipped to your hotel in Luzern, which is what I would do as it takes less time.

suggest us best scenic route to be taken to reach jounfraujoch from lucerne
we have swiss travel pass for eight days
Removed userParticipant72625 posts22 May 2017 at 9:15:43 #860822You can read about how to get to Jungfraujoch here.
From Luzern you must travel by train to Interlaken and then on to Grindelwald. You can go up from Grindelwald and return via Wengen for a ’round-trip’ experience – so you see as much as possible.
