    Hi,

We’re flying to Basle in mid-Feb 2017 and have accommodation booked in Wengen for 4 nights. We’re then heading back to Basle for a final night there before flying home.

We’ll be skiing as well, and have heard that there are deals to get you from the airport to the slopes and discounts for ski passes too, but it all seems to be a bit too difficult to get the details for them.

Please advise the cheapest way to get to and from Wengen and on to the slopes.

    thanks!

    Quinten

    Hi Quinten,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! You can buy a Swiss Transfer Ticket to travel from the airport to Wengen and back. The bus from the airport to the train station in Basel is included as well. This option is cheaper than a regular ticket. As you live in the UK you can buy through http://www.swisstravelsystem. co.uk. Their price is GBP 104, which is much cheaper than the normal price of CHF 141. A regular ticket would be even more. After filling out your address, they will show the delivery options. Pick “Online Ticket” from the bottom of the list. They will e-mail the ticket (no delivery fees) within a few working days. Note that the price in GBP is subject to change, but currently you can buy it for that amount.

As for ski passes: they usually just costs what they costs; no discounts. I am not aware of exceptions for Wengen.

Please see myswissalps.com/ baselairporthotels for hotels in Basel.
