I have been reading various posts concerning this rail experience and would like advice on the following.

When travelling from Tirana to Chur would it be best to stay overnight at Chur to link up with Glacier Express next day?

How long does the trip to Chur take and likewise Chur to Zermatt.

We intend to travel around April 9-10 next year 2018

    Regards Bob

    Hi Bob,

Information about both trips can be found at our Bernina Express and Glacier Express pages. Tirano-Chur takes about 4 hours, Chur-Zermatt 5h45. The timetable will help you to plan your trips. There are specific Bernina Express and Glacier Express timetables as well if you like; they can be found through the pages I linked to. The Swiss Travel Pass we talked about in your previous topic fully covers both trips, apart from seat reservations.

Yes, Chur would be a good location for an overnight stay in between both trips. Please find hotels here.
