I will be staying in Lauterbrunnen and Gimmewald for 10 days in September. From Zurich, in terms of a scenic train ride, should I take these 2 different routes: one going via Bern and Interlaken Ost and returning via Lucerne, or does one of these have the better views?

    Thank you,
    Kauaisam

Hi kauaisam! The route via Lucerne and Meiringen crosses the beautiful Brünig Pass and several lakes, and in terms of scenery this is the better route. But the one through Bern, Thun and Spiez is nice as well, especially the part along lake Thun. So taking one route on your way to Lauterbrunnen and the other one back on your route to Zurich would be the best choice in my opinion. Have a beautiful trip!
