I have researched the Swiss Travel Pass but are unsure what happens at border crossings, e.g. travelling from Lyon to Geneva, can I use the swiss travel pass….or do I Need to buy a separate ticket or different pass for this?

    Hi Gary,

You need a ticket (or another pass), for the part of your trip not covered by the Swiss Travel Pass. Please see here for what’s covered and tickets:

As for Lyon to Geneva: Geneva is on the border, so practically this whole trip is in France and not covered by the Swiss Travel Pass.
