    Hello Experts,

We will be arriving Brienz on 27th of December for 4 days. On the 31st we will be heading to Zermatt for 2 days. Could you please suggest us the best train route from Brienz to Zermatt & which train we should take? We are 2 adults & 1 child 12 yrs old using Swiss Family Pass. Could you please help us with the Rail Time Table as well.

    Thanks & Regards

    Aisha Omer

    Hi Aisha,

You can enter your place of departure and arrival in the timetable to get all details. The trip is free for adults with the Swiss Travel Pass and for children with the Swiss Family Card.

    Enjoy your stay!

    Dear Arno,

Thank you very much for your prompt reply. We will be using the Swiss Travel Pass for our travel. So we had planned using Golden pass line from Interlaken to Montreux. Now from Montreux the train that shows up in the Grand Train Tour of Swiss routes we are not able to figure out which train to use. It shows the name as Montreux-visp-Zermatt . For eg. for other trains and routes it shows as Glacier express or Golden line pass or Bernia express etc. but from Montreux to Zermatt the train shown is Montreux-visp-Zermatt .. Could you please suggest us which train to take from Montreux to Zermatt.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Aisha,

You’re very welcome! If you just enter Montreux and Zermatt in the timetable I referred to you will see all the options. All trains go through the route you mentioned, and you will indeed need to change trains in Visp. So you can take any train in the timetable that suits you time wise.
