My daughter and I are planning to fly into Basel in mid August. We were planning to spend that evening in Lucerne. Leave the next morning for Wengen. Spend four days and three nights in Wengen doing the sights in that area (jungfraujoch train, hiking etc). The last evening go to ZUrich we we leave for London. What is the best pass for us or should we buy individual train tickets? We plan to travel 2nd class. I understand the Swiss pass gets 50%off on the cable cars and trains we plan to take to the scenic areas.

Hello chalaba! I’d say you should consider the Swiss Half Fare Card, which provides a 50% discount on nearly all trips. Many mountain trains and cable cars are included. This will be cheaper than buying regular tickets. Details, a downloadable validity network map and purchase options are available at the Swiss Half Fare Card page.
