When buying 4 day BO pass with Swiss flex pass for 25% reduction do you need to count and date you Swiss pass for 4 days?

    Thank you

    Welcome to MySwissAlps Lancia!

There is no discount for holders of a Swiss Travel Pass Flex, only for the Swiss Travel Pass Flex Combi. Please see myswissalps.com/ regionalpass berneseoberland/ price for further details.

What are your travel plans? Another combination of passes might work better.

Thank you for your reply. We are in Interlaken area for 21 days and have a 15 flex pass. The weather forecast looks good for next week for going ‘up’ and we thought a 3 day Jungrau pass or 4 day BO pass might be a good idea.

    Hi Lancia,

Normally I would have recommended the Swiss Travel Pass Flex Combi as in most cases one pass works out cheaper than two passes. But if you already have the Swiss Travel Pass Flex it could still work, if you plan to travel extensively. You won’t get a discount on the Regional-Pass Bernese Oberland though, because you won’t use the Swiss Travel Pass Flex on the same days as the Regional-Pass.

The Jungfrau Travel Pass covers a very limited area. It may fit your plans, but be sure to study the map before deciding: myswissalps.com/ jungfrautravelpass/ validity.

If, in retrospect, you would prefer a Swiss Travel Pass Flex Combi anyway, you might be able to get the add-on Swiss Half Fare Card (the Combi) at a staffed station in Switzerland. I’ve heard people talking about that option but never tried it. The Combi products will be discontinued next year, but I assume you will be traveling in 2016, right?

Thank you, we might try that. Yes 2016, well tomorrow actually. We looked at Jungfrau pass but Rothorn does not seem to be included. It is only after looking at the weather for next week, it look good and we thought about going to the ‘tops’.

anymore details of changes for 2017?. Passes are getting less and less attractive for us. Used to get a month, then 21 day and always a saver option.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi Lancia,

The changes we are aware of for 2017 are posted here. If you would like to have the option of buying Swiss Travel Passes for more than 15 days in the future, please let us know by posting here. It might help it the long term.

    Enjoy your stay!
