Hi we are residing in Singapore and we are visiting a friend in Switzerland in July.
Would be arriving Switzerland via Basel Airport.

From the website above, it seems that the cheapest way to purchase the pass is in Switzerland train station.

    So just wondering.
    – Can we get our friend to purchase the swiss pass for us at the Basel Train Station without our passports or ID?
    – Alternatively, is it possible to order online and send the pass to her place in Basel? If so, which website should we go to?

Hi sugarplum. You need your passports if you purchase your passes locally, so I don’t know if your friend can do this for you. You can check with the SBB though.

Yes, you can purchase your pass online through the Swiss Pass page and have it shipped to your friend in Basel.. Just select the cheapest online reseller for your country. During the ordering process, you will be able to fill out an alternative shipping address.
