    Hi azaib, welcome to MySwissAlps,

You’ll find all details here: myswissalps.com/ jungfrautravelpass. The pass is called Jungfrau Travel Pass, and it is available from April 30. The pass for children only costs CHF 30.

    Hi azaib,

Yes, that’s correct. This particular pass is not available when you are there. There are many other passes you can consider: myswissalps.com/ train/ticketspasses. There is a “Jungfrau Hiking & Sledging Pass” for winter, which is available for your trip as well: http://www.acprail.com/rail-passes/jungfrau-passes.

thanks for this and two more questions :

i will have Eurail select pass of three countries ..will it cover my train trip to lauterbrunen wengen or eigergletscher. ?

how much is usual return ticket from:

    eigergletscher to jaugfarauh ?

    Maureen to shilthorn?

what about kids tickets on these routes .

    thanks

    You’re welcome azaib!

The pass will get you a 25% discount on those trips. Our Eurail Select Pass page offers many details, including a map to download to see what’s covered. Children up to 15 usually get 50% off on all tickets if the parents don’t have a Swiss rail pass. I don’t think the Eurail pass offers more than that for them. The Junior travelcard might be worth it.

For regular prices, please see the links on myswissalps.com/ jungfraujoch/ tickets and myswissalps.com/ schilthorn/ tickets.

Be sure to watch the spelling of towns when looking for train schedules. Entering the wrong name can easily send you to the wrong place:

    • Jaugfarauh = Jungfraujoch
    • Maureen = Mürren
    • Shilthorn = Schilthorn

    Hi azaib,

You can find all pass details on our website, including dates of availability, coverage maps, purchase links and much more. In case of dates for 2016 you can count on the dates in 2017 being nearly the same:

Sorry, I have not heard of the Virgin travel pass before. It sounds like a translation of the Jungfrau Travel Pass, so the same thing.

    thanks Arno

You are right it’s just the translation. I am better off with half fare pass along with euro rail pass. Regional and jsungfrau not operative during my stay anyway .

thsnk you so much for such great info and so prompt i must admit 🙂
