We'll be arriving in Montreux on the Golden Pass line and spending two nights there at the end of August. I've narrowed our hotel choices to either Hotel Splendid or Hotel La Rouvenaz. Any opinions on either of these?

On a Dutch hotel site Hotel Splendid score an 8.0. Hotel La Rouvenaz an 8.8.

Hotel Splendid seems cheaper. But Montreux is not a cheap town.......

Yes, Hotel Splendid is slightly cheaper (20 CHF per night) and it is a bit closer to the train station. But I've read a few criticisms about cleanliness there. I think we are going to stay at La Rouvenaz, and the restaurant there gets excellent reviews as well.

What is the day off arriving at the hotel in Montreux ?

I see much more than Chf 20,00 per night on Europian hotel sites.

Greetings from the Netherland, Brahms

I had two bookings on Booking.com and that's where the small price difference was. I've decided to go with La Rouvenaz.
