    Hi

We family of 4 ( 2 adults n 2 childs 12+13yrs) will be going to Switzerland on mid Dec. So we would like to buy the Swiss pass for 8 days for our groups. But when I go online I am unable to buy as I am a bit confuse. In the adults box I put 2 n in the child do I put 2 in the child box or the box that indicates (child’s in family card). Which one do I put n do I also click the family n friend button.. This is all v confusing.. N all the price is different as well . Maybe u can tell me which is which then I can proceed as children travelling with adults is free right.. And is their name supposedly to be put in the tickets or just our adults names only.

I would also like to know as we r flying in from Zurich going to Interlaken West does the Swiss pass cover us all the way n which connection or routes is the best for us to travel. And do we have to pay anything or make any reservation on any train.

Btw we are from Singapore n was introduced by my friends to ask for help from ur website so great to be able to get help before we go as we r really on a tight budget aft saving for so long for this long awaited holidays.

Really thanks n appreciate any helps u guys can render.

    Dom

    Hi Dom,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! I assume that you will be traveling together at all times, and that the adults are the parents of the children. In that case you can order as follows:

You need to go to this page: http://www.raileurope.com.sg/ pass/swiss-pass. First you select validity, class and 2 adults. Then you select 2 children in Family Card. Then you select ‘Friend/Families fares’. Finally click ‘Add to cart’ and fill out the requested information.

Zurich airport to Interlaken West is included in the pass and you don’t need to pay for anything else, nor do you need reservations. The Swiss Pass page explains what is included: http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isspass/validity. The timetable shows how to travel: http://www.myswissalps.com/ti metable

Thanks a lot Arno for ur fast reply.

Well like to asks a few more questions.

With a swiss pass do I get discount for ticket from Geneva cff station to Paris Cdg on the TGV.

From Interlaken West n Geneva which of this 2 places iis more convenient for us to take the glaciers express or the bernina scenic train. And how do I make reservations for this trains. N where do I collect the ticket if I make reservations only when I rch there as we had no ideas when we will go..

    Thanks

    Hi Dom,

You’re welcome! Geneva is on the Swiss border, so 99% of the journey to Paris is in France and you don’t get a discount there. You can find tickets here and fill out that you have a Swiss Pass, so see if it makes a difference: http://www.raileurope.com.sg/ book-now/article/book-a-point-to-point-ticket?re_reservation=yes.

The Bernina Express and Glacier Express are too far from Interlaken and Geneva to do the entire route as a day trip. For the Glacier Express you’d normally base yourself in Zermatt, where the train departs, and in St. Moritz, where it ends. All information, including reservation, is here: http://www.myswissalps.com/gl acierexpress. The Bernina Express starts in Chur. See here for all the details please: http://www.myswissalps.com/be rninaexpress. The Golden Pass route is more suitable if you stay in Geneva and Interlaken: http://www.myswissalps.com/go ldenpass.
