We will be travelling by train from St Moritz to Zurich in May. Due to time constraints, we are wondering how possible it will be to depart from the train near the top of Lake Zurich, and continue our journey by boat to Zurich. We would need a rail stop not far from the boat jetty. Would like to hear from anyone who has done this.

    Hi Woodies2,

You can take a train to Rapperswil and then continue by boat to Zurich.

Take a look here for more details on boat trips on Lake Zurich.
The boat stops are Rapperswil (See) to Zürich, Bürkliplatz (See). It is a 2 hour boat trip.

What are your time constraints? Use the SBB timetable here to plan your train to Rapperswil then the boat from Rapperswil See to Bürkliplatz See. It is a 10 minute walk from Rapperswil train station to Rapperswil See (boat stop).

Thank you for your reply, Lucas. A big help. The day we travel from St Moritz to Zurich will be the last full day we have in Switzerland. We thought it might be nice to travel to Zurich by boat to complete the journey.

I think it is a good idea, time permitting, for sure!

    Cheers,
    Lucas
