This will be our first visit to Switzerland. Do hotels provide complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner either in dispensers in the shower or in small packaging?

My understanding unlike in US and other places, in Switzerland hotels does n’t provide those things, it is better you carry as much as possible (may be in 5 star hotels they might)

Some do but not all, and not always of good quality. Also, they do not provide washcloths. I would email the hotels with specific questions. Sometimes the websites will tell you.

I haven’t stayed in a hotel yet which did not provide soap and shampoo. If it’s not in the room already, you can ask the staff. I never had to do so though. Conditioner is usually not provided.
