We will be staying in Lauterbrunnen, we’ll have Swiss Travel Passes, and we want to do the Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg hike (“Panoramaweg”). Am I right in this plan?

    1) Take the train from Lauterbrunnen to Wengen – free with STP

    2) Take the gondola from the center of Wengen up to Männlichen. Discounted with STP.

    3) From there, walk the trail down to Kleine Scheidegg.

    4) Take the train from Kleine Scheidegg back down to Wengen. Discounted with STP.

    5) Take the train from Wengen back to Lauterbrunnen – free with STP

    Is this right?

    Hi Canadarocks,

All of that is correct. Please see the map at myswissalps.com/swissh alffarecard/validity to verify. You don’t need to change trains in Wengen (step 4 to 5).

If you’re not tired yet after walk from Mannlichen to Kleine Scheidegg, you can also walk from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengernalp. A easy walk with beatiful views on the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau.

Then you take the train from Wengernalp > Wengen > Lauterbrunnen.

I haven’t read about the Wengernalp hike. Thanks Brahms. Perhaps we will stop for lunch at Klein Scheidegg, and then do that as well.

And good to know that we don’t have to change trains to get back to Lauterbrunnen. Thanks Annika.

We’ll just buy one way tickets up, so we can decide about the Wengernalp hike after we get to Klein Scheidegg.
