Hello! My friend and I will be traveling in Switzerland for about a week this June. We are going to travel up from Italy to Zermatt then will head to Wengen about 3 days later. We wanted to know what the best option would be for purchasing train tickets. We are not sure if it would be more economical to buy a particular Swiss Rail pass or just use the discounts associated with the EURail select pass. Right now we both were planning on buying a 4-country EURail Select Pass. Thanks!

Hi WoodE, and welcome to MySwissAlps!

Did you review the Eurail Select Pass page? It provides an overview of the features relevant to traveling in Switzerland, and a link to the network map. Depending on your exact plans, you should be able to figure out whether the Eurail Pass covers (most of) your plans. If not, the Swiss Half Fare Card could be the addon you’re looking for.
