I am traveling with a family of 6: 2 grandparents, 2 adults, 2 young children.

We have a pretty good itinerary over an 8 day period going from Zurich – Interlocken – Zermatt – Lucerne – Zurich. We are flying in/out of Zurich and will not be spending any time there. We will be staying in each of the other cities 2/3 days with day excursions to other venues like Grindewald and Locarno.

What is the best rail pass for us to get?

We will definitely be looking to take cable cars, boats, etc in different places where able and plan to take a trip on the Glacier Express. Not sure if that factors into any decisions regarding the pass.

    Thanks!

    Hi joseph,

An 8-day Swiss Saver Pass for 4 adults first your plans perfectly. The children would travel along for free. All details such as a network map, prices and delivery options can be found on the Swiss Pass page.

Be sure to take the scenic route to Zermatt as suggested in many topics including this one.

It’s indeed a good itinerary! Have fun!
