My family and I will be travelling to St Moritz and Zermatt from 9 to 14 Feb. How cold will the weather be? Also this will be the first time for us to take trains in Switzerland. We will have rather large heavy suitcases. Will that hinder quick transfer of trains, some cases 4 minutes?

Hi suaoun,

It will be very cold, but how cold exactly depends on the weather of the day. If you go into the mountains it will be even colder. On average, the maximum temperature in St. Moritz is just above freezing point. Zermatt will not be much different. See here for all weather related information: www.myswissalps.com/aboutswitzerland/nature

Suitcases are no problem as long as you can easily handle them yourself. If you can't, 4 minutes may not be enough. You can have your luggage transported for you to make your trip more convenient.
