Geneva hotel suggestion - close to airport

Hi everyone...Very excited to be only 25 days away from our 3rd trip to Switzerland. This will be our first flying into Geneva and we're looking for a little logistical advice. Upon arrival, we'll be hopping onto a train for a week in Zermatt. On the back end of our trip, we'll be spending one night in Geneva and us being us...we want to make the most of those hours. So we are looking for a hotel equidistant from the airport (7:20am flight!) and a great section of Geneva. Any suggestions to help us maximize our minimal time? We're from NYC so we like roaming cities. We love cobblestones. History. And of course, very importantly, food, drink and vibe. Where can we make a one night memory? Thoughts? Thank you!

If you have an early morning flight to catch, I personally recommend choosing a hotel near the airport. You can find several suggestions here: www.myswissalps.com/genevaairporthotels

There are regular train services between Geneva Airport and the main city centre if you want to explore the old town and do a bit of sightseeing. The train ride takes only 7 minutes so plenty of time to explore on your final day before your return flight. You can find sightseeing options here: www.myswissalps.com/geneva/activities

you may consider Ibis Centre Lac which has a very good location(walking distance to almost everywhere in Geneva and a 5 minute walk from train station,gare de cornavin) and affordable price wise(being in Geneva).

Regarding your flight you can always schedule a pickup with uber to the airport (will probably be in the range of 25-26 bucks i guess).
