Golden Pass route Luzern to Interlaken

I am wondering if the Interlaken-Lucerne ‘Express’ train (which is what I found when searching the timetable) is part of the scenic Golden Pass route – via Meiringen and a pass and lakes, rather than a more direct but less scenic ‘express’ route. If there is only line it’s simple, but wouldn’t want to miss a scenic ride if there is more than one option to select. Much obliged for any help.

    Hi Adelaiden

Yes, via Meiringen is part of the Golden Pass route. You can also travel via Bern which you will not want to do (both travel times are similar).

Take a look at our Golden Pass information page for further details (click on the route tab).

    Cheers,
    Lucas
