    Hi All,

We are about 10 adults and seniors plus two kids under 9 yrs and 1 infant age 2, planning to travel from Heidelberg, Germany to Lucerne (4 nites) with stopover at Schaffhausen. While in Lucerne, we would like to see RIGI, Plitus, and Titlis.

After 4 nites in Lucerne, we will be traveling to Interlaken for 4 nites to see Jungfrau and surrounding area. We will then be traveling to Paris by train. I am thinking of getting swiss saver pass for the group. I have following questions for you all:

    1) Is there additional group discount available on top of Swiss Saver Pass?
    2) Can you please recommend other sightseeing opportunity near Interlaken and Lucerne?
    3) Is Chocolate Factory tour and Cheese Tour possible with out taking the Train Excursion (Chocolate Train)?
    4) What would be our entry station in Switzerland for ticket from Heidelberg to this station? As Swiss Saver pass would be valid upon entry into Switzerland.
    5) What would be our last station in Switzerland while traveling to Paris? Again, as Swiss pass would be valid till this last station in Switzerland.

    Thank you in advance.

Hi desaeu, and welcome to the website,

    1) The Swiss Saver Pass already includes a 15% discount on the Swiss Pass. More discounts can be available by taking advantage of promotions that resellers may offer, such as promo codes, discounts on particular passes, etc.

    2) There’s a lot to do in and around both towns. For ideas, please see the Interlaken page, the Lucerne page, and day trips and hiking in the Bernese Oberland. I would recommend to do at least one boat trip from either town, and do some hiking as well. Lucerne has several museums if you’re interested: a great Transport Museum, the Glacier Garden and a glass museum in nearby Hergiswil.

    3) Yes, you can, please see this topic.

    4) 5) You can use the timetable and the downloadable map from the Swiss Pass page to find this. In your case you would most probably enter Switzerland via Schaffhausen, and leave Switzerland via Basel on your way to Paris. You Swiss Saver Pass is valid from/to these stations.

Please see the Swiss Pass page for pass details and resellers.

I hope this helps. If you have further questions, please let us know when you’ll be traveling and where you are from.

    Hi desaeu,

Since you’ll be doing quite some traveling in multiple countries, and you’re from the US, you may want to look into this promotion to get a discount on the Eurail Global Pass. While a Swiss Saver Pass is perfect for Switzerland, this Eurail Pass would include the train traveling to all towns you listed for free. It includes less Swiss mountain transport services, although the ones you mentioned are included. The boats from Lucerne and Interlaken are included as well. Further details, including a map of what’s free and discounted, are here. Please note that the promo is only valid to June 12 and may expire before that if they run out of discounted passes.

    Enjoy your traveling!
