    Hi,

I will be travelling to Switzerland in October with a family of 4 and I am looking for a good deal on travel pass. I found this interesting promotion 1-day travel pass plus from sbb website.

    http://www.sbb.ch/en/travelca rds-and-tickets/tickets-for-switzerland/1-day-travelpass/1-day-travelpass-plus.html

    Here is the detail:
The one-day travelpass plus is available and valid from 19 September to 6 November 2016.
The one-day travelpass plus is available for small groups of 2-4 people.
Just one person in the group needs to have a valid Half-Fare travelcard for everyone to benefit from the offer.

I am aware that there are two types of half-fare card. One for tourist and another for resident. I would to know if the 30-days half fare card will be qualified for this ‘1 day travel pass plus’ or not.

    Thank you

    Hi Maiyaporn, welcome to MySwissAlps!

It looks like this promotion is targeted to Swiss residents with a one year (or more) half fare travelcard. It may or may not work with the one month Swiss Half Fare Card for tourists. You would have to ask the SBB.

Thank you for your answer. I’ve just got a reply from sbb about this.

“Yes, you can benefit with a 30-day half-fare card from a 1-day travelpass plus.”

It seems that tourists can also benefit from this offer. Just want to share this to others who might be interested in this.
