    Hi,

There are 4 of us in the party. 2 adults and 2 under 25

3 (2 adults and 1 under 25) of us arrive 27.6.11 to travel Zurich – Berguen
    1 (under 25) joins us 29.6.11 Zurich – Berguen

We (all of us) are moving on to St. Gallen 1.7.11 and from there to Flims 3.7.11
Returning altogether Flims – Zurich 8.7.11

What is the best option is for us to be able to save as much as possible on these and other journeys around the areas we are staying?

    Thanks
    Smokey

Hi Smokey, and welcome! It’s a bit hard to say which pass is best, as this depends on lots of things. Could you be a bit more specific about your travel plans in Bergün and Flims? For example: do you plan to travel (almost) each day of your stay? Will you be making short regional trips, or are longer train journeys involved as well? Do you prefer unlimited train travel or are you fine with buying discounted tickets for each trip? If you could answer some of these questions, I think I’ll be able to provide better guidance. Our FAQ may help you out too, to start off with.

Just one idea: a pass that may be suitable is the Swiss Saver Flexi Pass. If you’ll be travelling as one party most of the time, you could buy one Swiss Saver Flexi Pass for all 4 of you. This would mean that the 1 member arriving a few days later would have to buy a full fare ticket form Zurich to Bergün, as the Swiss Saver Flexi Pass is actually one ticket for more people. If that doesn’t sound practical, you could also opt for a Swiss Saver Flexi Pass for 2 out of 4 members of your travel party, and 2 regular ones for the remaining 2, meaning that the member arriving later can use his/her own Swiss Flexi Pass for the trip Zurich-Bergün as well.

The Swiss Saver Flexi Pass offers a number of free travel days, which can be used for your longer train travels, including Zurich-Bergün, Bergün-St. Gallen and St. Gallen-Flims. On all days between the last and first travel day, a 50% discount applies.
