We are planning to travel to Switzerland for 4 days from August 31to September 3. We will stay in Lucerne for all the 4 days. We also have Swiss pass for Mt.Jungfraujoch. We are planning to visit Jungfraujoch on September 2nd. How should we plan the full day trip?

Hi Ligiya and welcome to MySwissAlps!

I think you mean the Swiss Travel Pass? The Swiss Pass is a different pass (for Swiss only).

It is a long trip from Lucerne to Jungfraujoch (about 4 hours each way). You can use the Swiss railways timetable here to plan out your trip. You can read about how to get to Jungfraujoch here.

Be sure to wait until you know the weather looks good before buying your ticket with the Swiss Travel Pass.

    Hi Ligiya,

You wrote . . . . We also have Swiss pass for Mt.Jungfraujoch

As Lucas suggested you probably mean the Swiss Travel Pass. The way you phrased your statement made me wonder if you realise that the trip from Wengen or Grindelwald to Jungfraujoch is only discounted by 25%? That part of the trip is not free compared to the connections between Luzern and Wengen or Grundelwald.

We are also planning to travel to Mt. Titlis from Luzern. Could you help us plan the trip to Titlis too? We have the Swiss Travel Pass but do not have the special pass for Titlis.

    Hi Ligiya,

You can buy the ticket to Mt. Titlis at the Engelberg station (50% off with your Swiss Travel Pass).

We have a page on Mt. Titlis here, explaining how to get there and you can use the Swiss Railways timetable here to plan your trip.

    hi

On 2nd sept we have reserved seat for glacier express from Andematt to Zermatt. we will reach Zematt at 16:10 (train no 901). Will we get enough time to visit Governergrat?. we have to come back to lucern because our hotel booking is there.

    Hi!

The last train down Gornergrat is at 20:07 (use the timetable here). The train departs at 16:24 and then hourly until 19:24. So you have a long day if you want to go up Gornergrat!
