Hi akayess,
The extra days are only available while purchasing, not for passes you already have.

Thanks for the information. Yes, I checked their website and found that this offer is only for Travel Passes bought from 1st September and not ones bought before this date.

Hi Araizrayan,
It’s indeed only for Indian travelers. You can buy the pass through http://www.raileurope-gcc.com/pass/swiss-travel-pass-82 or http://www.raileurope-world.com/pass/swiss-travel-pass-82. You still save money over buying in Switzerland. Note that there’s some shipping time so don’t order too late.
Have good trip!

Is it possible to buy this from UK.. To clarify.. I live in London but have an Indian passport..this extra day seems perfect for my trip compared to 20% discount offering on the UK site.

Hi spskm9,
Unfortunately this pass can only be shipped to an address in India. The UK promo at http://www.swisstravelsystem. co.uk/en/node/66 can be purchased by you.

Thanks.. I was hoping there was a way to get e-tickets to work around this.
I guess ill start working on my spreadsheet to see how much the 4day pass saves me over the half price card.

Hello,
Is there a way for me to buy the ticket and collect it on the same day?
I just have one more day before I start my journey to Europe.

Hi, in the website “http://www.myswissalps.com/ swisstravelpass/ promotions” it is mentioned as,
Promotion 1: Free extra travel days! For traveling between September 12 and December 30Get an extra day on a 4-day pass and two extra days on an 8-day pass
Travel between september 12 to december 30, but when i click to book it goes to
http://www.raileurope.co.in/p ass/swiss-travel-pass-82
where it says “I plan to travel between 01/09/2015 and 30/11/2015” so the offer is available to travel between November 30.
My travel date is on december 5 to 14. so this offer is applicable or not. pls help me on this.

Hi MythilyV,
That’s a good find, thanks a lot! They must have changed the date in the mean time. It’s November 30, and I have adjusted it on our website. So unfortunately the promotion does not apply when traveling from December 5 to 14.
Thanks again for letting us know, and sorry for the inconvenience!

Can I get an extra day pass directly from switzerland as i donot have 5 days for the mail service?

Hi bhumika,
No, the promotion is only available online. If you don’t have time for the shipping you might as well order your pass through http://www.swissrailways.com/ en. They don’t offer the promo, but they can e-mail the pass within 2-3 days, so that might still be in time for you. The advantage is that you’ll have a valid pass upon arrival and can board the train straight away.
Enjoy your stay!

I’ve opted for a 4 days continuous Swiss pass promo + 1 day additional free for Indian nationals. But after the passes arrived at my home, I found that only 4 days are written with starting and ending day. Will they provide the additional day on arrival. If not, where and how should i complain?
I will be travelling from Lucern to Zurich on my fifth day. Then, I’ll go for Schaffhausen/ Titisee tour as well as Zurich city tour in the evening. Which pass will be better for us?? Is it possible to visit Schaffhausen/ Titisee on that day only.

Hi saurabh23, welcome to MySwissAlps,
I’m sorry to hear that! It’s hard to say what went wrong here. As far as I know the pass should clearly mention 5 days or “4+1 days” or something like that. You won’t get an additional day just by presenting a normal 4 day pass. I would recommend not to wait until arrival but contact Rail Europe immediately and ask. You can go to http://www.raileurope.co.in/s pip.php?page=contact and click “Already booked” and “Send us a message”.
The trip to Schaffhausen is included in the Swiss Travel Pass. The Titisee is in Germany. I don’t know much about it, but I thought it was more of a Summer destination. Getting there is not covered in the Swiss Travel Pass. Train schedules can be found in the timetable.
