Info needed regarding Glacier Express?

    Hi
    As a part of my 3 day trip to Swiss, i have reserved for a trip in Glacier express between Andermatt and Chur on day2. However, i would like to know if i can see more near to either to Andermatt or Chur? can someone provided guidance on the possible places to be seen near Andermatt or Chur.

    Hi svaidhya,

    I’m not sure what your interests are, or what season you’ll travel, but some things that come to my mind are:

    – From Andermatt, you can hike in multiple directions. From the nearby Oberalppass (that the Glacier Express will cross as well), you can hike to the location where of the river Rhine originates: the Tomasee.
    – From Andermatt, you can walk down to Göschenen, through the Schöllenen gorge, and return by cog train.
    – The Gemsstock viewing point can be reach with a lift from Andermatt.
    – Chur has a nice town centre. A train ride to Arosa is also recommendable.
