Hi Samanna,
The boats only operate until October 23. Boats on Lake Thun will continue to operate on a limited schedule.

Many thanks Arno.
1. Looking at the timetable for boats on Lake Thun, is there only 1 a day?
2. While I’m looking at boats are there cruises on Lake Geneva from Montreux between Nov 30 & Dec 2? If there is, where would be a nice round trip destination on the lake for these dates.
Thank you for your time and assistance.

Hi Samanna,
1. Yes, correct, and two on Sundays. It’s low season, so boats do not operate frequently.
2. You’ll find a link to the timetable on our Lake Geneva page. Not many options there either, except for Sundays but that’s not when you’re there. The ferries from Lausanne to Thonon and Évian operate frequently, but that’s about it. You can best have a look yourself.

Looks like there’s just the 11:40am departure from Thun to Interlaken West and should take two hours to arrive.
Schedule: http://www.bls.ch/d/schifffah rt/fahrplan-thun-winter-16.pdf
were also traveling in the area Nov 19-28 and are finding many of the recreational transportation options like these are either closed or their service is greatly reduced during this season (Mt Pliatus being one we were especially disappointed about).

Welcome to MySwissAlps msdama!
Indeed, low season and the approaching winter causes some limitation. Still, with careful planning, there is a lot you can see: Rigi, Titlis, Kleine Scheidegg, Jungfraujoch and Mürren can all be reached. The Mount Pilatus cogwheel train operates until November 20, but you can still reach it after that date by the cableway.

Thank you msdama and Arno.
Indeed looks like some fine tuning and detail but im sure its all going to be worth it even in the off season.
