We are planning on buying a Swiss Pass and I understand this includes most of the ferries on the lake. Do we need to make a reservation? When I look at the ferry’s web site, it seems I can only buy tickets not make reservations.

What about for other parts of the trip such as the cog wheel train to Mt. Rigi?

    Thanks, Sharon

    Hi Sharon,

Reservations are not necessary in Switzerland, except for a few tourist trains, or for special dinner cruises. You can board all the regular trains and boats with a Swiss Travel Pass. Nothing else is needed. Please see here for prices.
