Hi susheelheera –
Welcome to My Swiss Alps.
A good way to get some of your questions answered, or refined to more specific details, is to read the pages and the links here:

Dig in to the links and sub-links.
The timetable can answer many of your questions about travel. Trains and occasional buses are by far the best public transport:

By the way, the name of the country in English is Switzerland. In German, die Schweiz. In French, la Suisse.
In English, “Swiss” is an adjective, modifying a noun ….Swiss chocolate, Swiss trains, Swiss cows, Swiss cities, etc.

Hi susheelheera,
Here are some further links that may help you to get started:
Once your itinerary is more or less set, you’d best start calculating which rail pass suits your needs best: http://www.myswissalps.com/tr ain/ticketspasses/prac tical/chooserailpass. Mind to order your passes online (see the “price” tabs on each of our pass pages, e.g. http://www.myswissalps.com/sw isstravelpass/price), as that will be a lot easier and quicker than arranging for 9 passes at a ticket counter on a Swiss rail station.
