We will be hiking in the bernese oberland area (gindelwald, wengen, murren, kiental etc). We are wondering if their is a luggage transfer service as we do not want to carry all of our luggage with us on the trail. We understand that the train offers a service, but can it be used if you do not have a rail ticket?

    Hi modusvivendi,

That’s a good question! I’m not sure actually. I don’t know of any other luggage services than the one offered by the railroads (or ask a taxi company). I don’t think you need a rail ticket for that, but you can best ask the local railway company BLS to be sure.

Would you mind posting it here if you find out either before or after your trip?

    Have a great stay!
