Hello meimeiho424,

May I ask, when are you planning to be in Switzerland, and where are you going to stay? Do you have a "base" from where you want to make these trips?
Your question is easier to answer if you can provide this information.

Can you give dates of your stay in Switzerland? And where are you from?

I'm asking this because of the two-for-one offers for several passes.

Hi meimeiho424! Since you're traveling in May, you can best use the 2 for 1 offer on the 4 day Swiss Saver Flexi Pass (provided you're traveling with someone else and not on your own). You could use free travel days for day 1, day 4, day 6 and day 8. On the remaining days a 50% discount applies, meaning that you have to by half fare tickets for your trips. You can do so at the railway station before boarding. I don't think you should buy any additional pass such as the Jungfrau Centenary Pass: that would be too much. To order the 2 for 1 Swiss Saver Flexi Pass, just get to the Swiss Flexi Pass page and fill out Hong Kong as your country of residence in the upper right corner. Select the right pass variant too for an overview of resellers and up to date prices. Click 'show more information' to check information on shipping costs and delivery times.

You may also be interested in our hotel pages of Lucerne, Interlaken and Zermatt.

If you want to go up to Gornergrat, you will have to buy a ticket to get there, you will get a 50% discount if you own a Swiss Flexi Pass. You can get the ticket in Zermatt, it's right across the railway station.
An overview of the network on which the Swiss Flexi Pass is valid can be found on this page. The Swiss timetable may be of help to you too.

I hope you will have a nice trip!

Hello meimeiho424,

The idea of the Swiss Flexi Pass mentioned here is travelling for free on 4 days and travelling with discounted tickets on other days between your frist and last free day. Only calculating all our travelling costs (see reply of -Olga- dd. Apr 16) will make clear whether it will be a good idea to buy a second Swiss Flexi Pass or not.
As far as I know most people just purchase one Swiss Flexi Pass (whether the 2 for 1 offer - if not travelling alone - or not), some prefer to purchase two Passes (especially if they can profit from the 2 for 1 offer).

Maybe it's best to contact the Tourist office of Reckingen-Gluringen. They will be able to tell you which means of mountain transportation and which hiking trails are expected to be open during your stay.

How much will the cog wheel be? i can't find the price list

Using the Timetable you can find all connections up to Schynige Platte and the price of tickets (normal price for a return ticket from Wilderswil is CHF 60,-, half fare price CHF 30,-)

Are you sure you can go up to Eggishorn on May 25?

Oh There are no cable car up to eggishorn.

Is it impossible to walk from fieschralp to the eggishorn?

We now plan to take the cable car from fiesch to fieschralp, which is juz 2 cable car on that day, right?

Could u help me to confirm if that is juz 2. One is 0745 and the other one is 11 sth?

Then from fieschralp to betteralp or rideralp and then take the cable car down

Thanks for the information of cog rail;-)

I'm quite sure there will be too much snow to walk from Fiescheralp to the Eggishorn!

Here you can find timetables for the cable cars to and from Bettmeralp and Riederalp. Pease note some sections may be closed for maintenance.
