This information will only be of interest for the few (?) readers of this forum who want to reach or leave the Engadin region of Graubünden by means of a car train.

It used to be possible to take your car with you on the Albula Line trains between Samedan and Thusis.

But the transport of cars along this line during one year was equal to the transport during one day through the Vereina tunnel between Klosters and Sagliains.
So, the Rhaetian Railway ended this service after the winter season 2010-2011. If you’re interested, see this link (it’s in German).

It’s understandable, but it’s a pity. It was fun to see your car standing on the last wagon when the train went through all the curves.
