I have a short trip to Switzerland planned in early July

    Itinerary is as follows
Day 1-3 In Geneva – probably using local trams/buses
    Day 4 Bern – Geneva
    Day 5 Bern – Interlaken – Gimmelwald
Day 6 Take Schilthorn Cable Car
    Day 7 Gimmelwald – Montreux – Geneva
    Day 9 Leave

Is this best done with individual tickets or is one the passes worthwhile? Possibly the Swiss Half Fare card ?

    Thanks
    Richard

Hello Richard, and welcome! Yes, a Swiss rail pass is definitely worth your money. I think the Swiss Half Fare Card suits your plans, as it’s valid on all days of your stay and offers discounts for local transportation in Geneva as well. You haven’t planned many long and expensive train journeys, so the 50% discount will do.

I hope this answers your question!
