    Hi Shashi,

Welcome to MySwissAlps! Your plan is pretty hard to read. Can you clean it up a bit? (click the edit button) You can use bullet points, new lines, etc., and perhaps remove traveling times. What matters is which trips you intend to make on which day.

The Swiss Pass has been replaced by the Swiss Travel Pass. Details about it can be found here.

    Thanks!

    whatever your plan

swiss travel pass is fantastic , its convenient , its one time

it is the best value for money , forget the hassles

just get into any train or bus , and best part is local travel within the cities is included .

    including boats and ferries …

cable car and mountain rails can be purchased for 50 % off at the point of entry

its extremely well organised you can go wrong ,

just travel light thats all and one more thing dont loose the tkt . 🙂

    Hi Shashi,

To be honest, it’s still hard to understand. Did you paste text from another program, like Word? If you edit your post with bullets or line breaks it would be easier to read. Anyway, from what I can see you travel from Basel to the Jungfrau region and back, plus quite some local trips. As wanderer says, the Swiss Travel Pass is indeed the most convenient one, as it includes nearly everything (boats, trains, the bus to the Trümmelbach Falls, etc.). You only need tickets for cable cars and cogwheel trains. Wengen and Mürren can be reached for free though. I noticed you live in the UK, so normally I would have recommended to buy through http://www.swisstravelsystem. co.uk. They allow you to print the pass at home so you can go straight to the bus at Basel airport. They currently offer a 20% discount on 4- and 8-day passes. Even a 3-day pass is slightly cheaper than in Switzerland. But, processing orders takes a few days so in your case you ‘d better buy it after arrival.

You may want to compare this option with the Swiss Half Fare Card. This one does require you to buy tickets all the time though.

Hopefully this was useful for you!

    Hi Arno,

The train to Jungfraujoch from Lauterbrunnen goes via the following stations:

    Lauterbrunnen -> Wengwald -> Wengen -> Allmend -> Wengernalp -> Kleine Scheidegg

Can you please let me know whether I can buy mountain train ticket either in Interlaken or Lauterbrunnen itself if not then where should I buy the tickets to the top?

    Thanks

    Shashi
