We have a Eurail Pass which includes Switzerland and Austria and want to travel from Zurich to Innsbruck on 21.06.12 at 10:40. I cannot work out how to simply reserve the seats. Can you help please ?

Hello ozcouple, and welcome to the forum! You can use the seat reservation page: fill out your country of residence in the upper right corner and click to one of our resellers to arrange for your seat reservations.

    I tried raileurope.com.au and trainticket.com.
BOTH websites say “Schedules were not found. For longer journeys (more than 2 connections) it is sometimes necessary to break it down. Please check our interactive map to assist you. If you have checked your travel dates and tried dividing your itinerary no reservations may be available for that route or trains may be sold out.”

There are no connections required on this particular journey and there are tickets available so I do not understand why I cannot reserve seats.

Is it because two countries are involved ?

    Hi ozcouple,

That trip should not be too complex for the system. It’s just one train, and crossing the border should not be a reason to get the message you’re seeing. I found that it works fine to book the Austrian leg Feldkirch – Innsbruck, so it seems to have a problem to book the Swiss leg. You can best contact RailEurope for this.
