Secure parking for autos

    Are parking lots in the Lauterbrunnen valley secure for multiple days parking while hiking in the mountains?

    Hello Richard,

    I’m quite sure the parking lots in and around Lauterbrunnen are safe. Of course nothing can be guaranteed, but if I were you I would park my car near Lauterbrunnen station. It may be a good idea to make reservations, please check this website.

    There’s a large parking lot in Stechelberg as well. The one near Lauterbrunnen station is covered (indoor), the one in Stechelberg is outdoor.

    I have left my car in the covered garage at Lauterbrunnen Bahnhof for several days.many times over the past 20-30 years.. Since the higher villages are car free, that is what it is for.

    I have had no problem and have not heard of any problem.
