We'll be traveling from Varenna-Esino to Tirano and then on to St Moritz to overnight. We will only have one night there. We'll have Swiss Travel Passes and I've already decided to not worry about taking the Bernina Express. We will use the free trains.

Assuming the weather is good:

Should we stop on the way from Tirano to visit Diavolezza? - or -
Should we go to Muottas Muragi after we drop off our luggage at our hotel in St Moritz?

Or should we try to do both? Or neither, as it's already such a busy day of traveling?

Yes. Walk to Alp Langard if you can fit it in.
