    Hi,

I plan to travel from Lausanne to Florence and back from Venice to Zurich by train. Additionally I will be taking the Jungfrau train and the Golden round trip at the Pilatus Lucerne. And the train for local travel in Zurich.

Is it possible to get any discount on these trips using the Swiss card or the half fare pass?

Hello miaroke! If you stay ends in Zurich, a Swiss Half Fare Card would be better than a Swiss Card. And yes, all trips within Swiss borders would be discounted with a Swiss Half Fare Card. Please find information and a downloadable validity map at the Swiss Half Fare Card page.

A good alternative would be the Swiss Flexi Pass, allowing some days of unlimited traveling and a 50% discount on remaining days. The free travel days could be used for long and expensive journeys, such as the Swiss leg of your inbound trip from Venice to Zurich, the round trip from Zurich to the Jungfraujoch (free traveling up to Wengen/Grindelwald), and so on. Depending on when you travel, you can profit from offers such as the 2 for 1 promotion or RailEurope’s summer sales.
