Hi Forum: If I purchased a 2-1 Swiss Flexi Pass through your affiliate (Switzerland Travel Center) and take a train within Switzerland that requires a reservation, can I use the pass to purchase a reservation on the RailEurope website. For example, my first train from Geneva to Interlaken appears to require reservations and I want to know if Rail Europe will honor this site’s Flexi Pass.

    Thanks in advance, Gary.

    Hi Gary,

Passes and seat reservations are independent of each other. It does not matter where or when you purchase the one or the other, as long as you have both when boarding the train.

Most trains do not require seat reservations. I wouldn’t expect trains from Geneva to Interlaken to require reservations. You may have seen a train where booking seats is possible but not required. Usually it’s only required for scenic tourist trains and trains crossing the border.
